If you send business texts to US recipients from a standard 10-digit local number in GoHighLevel, you generally need A2P 10DLC Brand and Campaign registration. A new phone number by itself does not complete that registration. HighLevel’s Trust Center is where you prepare it; carriers and partners review the submission.
1. Check the number and the messages first
Open Settings → Phone System → Phone Numbers and note the number type and current status. A local 10-digit number used for US business texting follows the A2P 10DLC path. A toll-free number uses a separate verification process. List the messages you plan to send: booking confirmations, reminders, customer support, promotions, or a mix. Your campaign description and sample texts must reflect that real use.
If you already submitted A2P registration, check its status in Settings → Phone System → Trust Center before creating another submission. A rejection notice is more useful than guessing at a new use case.
2. Gather the exact business information
Prepare the legal business name, business type, registered address, tax or registration details where applicable, a reachable business contact and the live website. For a US standard business registration, the legal name and EIN should match official records. HighLevel also has a sole proprietor path for qualifying small businesses without a tax ID; choose the type that truly fits your business.
3. Make the SMS opt-in visible and accurate
Show where someone enters their phone number and chooses to receive texts. If you use a website form, survey or calendar, the SMS consent must be separate and optional. The checkbox should say who sends the texts and what kinds of messages a person can expect. Put a public privacy policy and terms link where the reviewer can open them.
HighLevel’s current guide asks for message frequency, message and data rate disclosure, and HELP and STOP instructions where applicable. Write sample texts that match the opt-in and campaign purpose. Do not describe only appointment reminders if you intend to send promotions too.
4. Register the Brand, then the Campaign
In Trust Center, complete Brand registration using the verified business details. After Brand approval, continue to Campaign registration. HighLevel offers guided and manual paths; choose the one that matches your opt-in process. Enter the messaging use case, public website and opt-in link, sample messages, and a plain description of how people consent.
Run HighLevel’s compliance review and fix flagged issues before submitting for carrier review. Passing the automated review prepares the application; it does not guarantee carrier approval.
5. Link the approved campaign to the number
Approval of the Campaign is not always the last step. Return to Phone Numbers and confirm the applicable local number is linked to the approved Campaign. HighLevel shows an A2P Verified label when the association is complete. Then test a genuine opted-in contact, inbound reply, STOP handling, reminder timing and CRM record. Check delivery and error logs if a text is skipped or rejected.
Some registration types limit how many local numbers or campaigns they support. Check your Brand type before linking additional numbers.
If your submission is rejected
Read the specific reason in Trust Center. Common mismatches involve the legal business name, an inaccessible website, missing privacy or terms pages, opt-in wording that does not match the chosen use case, or sample messages that do not reflect the real program. Correct the underlying page or information and resubmit when available. Rewriting a description without changing the actual customer consent will not solve a consent mismatch.
